Rathbone is a UK-wide youth charity that helps young people to transform their lives through learning. We do this by providing access to training and qualifications that enable young people to achieve their goals – whether that is a job, a place at college, an apprenticeship or a work placement. We also run excellent youth engagement programmes, which offer practical support and positive experiences through activities like sport, music or art. All of the young people who work with us can be sure of one thing. They will be supported, encouraged and challenged in every way possible. We believe that involving young people in our decision-making helps to continually evaluate and improve our organisation. Young people can get involved in a number of ways: Youth forums enable young people to give us their views on a regular basis. Learner surveys help us evaluate what we do well and what we need to improve on. The National Youth Council brings together young people from across the UK to meet directly with our senior management team. Information, advice and guidanceis available to help learners make well informed decisions about their education and training. The Intermix project brings young people together with artists to explore community issues and find creative ways to get their points of view across. Outdoor residential activities challenge young people step outside of their comfort zone and develop skills in communication, team building and leadership. Social mediasites like Facebook and Twitter provide an easy way to connect with us online. Feedback from our learners is encouraged and we have a dedicated email address: firstname.lastname@example.org for both good and bad feedback.
